Participant Demographics

We actively and intentionally engage people with diverse perspectives and experiences to ensure that ALL voices are heard in addressing the pressing needs of today and building a collective preferred vision for tomorrow. Demographic data are collected from participants and compared to publicly available data for the region to ensure the sample population accurately represents our community.

Visions

In this exercise we had participants draw in a group and then individually write and speak their vision of a preferred future for our region. These themes are summaries of what was said.

Group 1 Visions

    • My vision for Bosse is to make Bosse a place that’s less in competition with each other and be more welcoming peaceful.
    • I think to start we need to pay more attention and take advantage of the land we have. We have so much untouched grass that all we do is cut it. This could be used for flower gardens or fresh produce gardens. Also, we need to put a lot more focus into feeder programs. That is the path that would lead us back to the top of leading high school.
    • Helping students if their getting trouble.
    • A change I would like to see is more communication. There are more spaces where people can relax. There will be more participation in things that go on in the school, more focus in feeder programs and growing those. More of a rehabilitation.
    • Communicating more, a more welcome place for everyone, use more of our space, help students out.
My vision is to make Bosse a more welcoming place.

    Group 2 Visions

    • I want to see people treating others equally no matter what. I want people to care about others if they’re catholic or atheist. If they’re black or white. If they’re trans or cis gender. If they’re loud or quiet. Everyone deserves to have their opinions.
    • Green community space that foster students passions. More than enough resources for the arts. Fresh food options at lunchtime. support for all students and interests.
    • My vision for Bosse’s future is the school becoming more community oriented. Hosting events, cookouts, music events, fun activities.
    • Helping students like every month they can maybe call students down to talk about mental health. Careful about students mental health.

    Group 3 Visions

      • My vision for our future is to have everyone at least know each other a little. Have diversity, so people can get to know different ethnics and stuff. Getting involved, bring respectful, equality, inclusion, kindness, student engagement, arts recognition.
      • Make Bosse High school a welcoming environment. Where all students feel included, comfortable and make sure that their voices be heard.
      • My main vision is to have students and adults working together to make a positive impact on the school and community.
      • Getting involved, being respectful, keeping the school clean, kindness, Arts recognition, Diversity/equality/inclusion, student engagement, helping others.

      Group 4 Visions

      • Paw print, school spirit. Be noticed and loved.
      • School spirit, better lunch for c lunch.
      • More school spirit, cleaner school, no fighting
      • We want a cleaner school, more funding, student involvement,
