We actively and intentionally engage people with diverse perspectives and experiences to ensure that ALL voices are heard in addressing the pressing needs of today and building a collective preferred vision for tomorrow. Demographic data are collected from participants and compared to publicly available data for the region to ensure the sample population accurately represents our community.

Passions
In this exercise we asked participants what they are positive or passionate about. Diverse participants have many different passions, but there are common themes.

Visions
In this exercise we had participants draw in a group and then individually write and speak their vision of a preferred future for our region. These themes are summaries of what was said.

Group 1 Visions
- better food banks, safer parks, better management on guns, free health services
- healthier community, elders are trying to make a living for themselves or family
- free health care, people working together in peace and kindness, no homeless people, no racism or judgement among others
- better communities and inclusion for everyone

- better sports programs, lower housing rates

- stop the gun violence, park open longer
- improvement inside the school, such as a better look inside and out. the building being nice can help with students’ attendance and achievement. hopefully there’s not as much violence, hate, discrimination, and stereotypes and hopefully more love, togetherness, and more positive educated people.
- Bosse high school having more funds to be able to have more student support to bring more spirit wins and inclusion. also, for the community I would want to have public basketball courts/volleyball to participate in
- my vision for evansville’s future is we need Dave & Busters, Top Golf, go karts and arcades, riverfront open till 1am or 2am, bigger mall, better restaurants like raising canes and waffle house
- money, more bus transport, and good energy, less gun violence
- we have better technology, workers get paid more and we have less inflation
Group 5 Visions
- less violence overall, unemployment rates down, increased gun restrictions, clean streets
- bigger music community, justice, equality, unity, religious freedom, kindness
- we just overall want better community
- more music funding, freedom, more ap options in bosse, animal shelters, homeless help, stem programs in schools, tax breaks, healthcare for all, more money for teachers, gun control and free rehab/mental health services, free hygiene resources in the school, public softball/baseball/sports complexes, clubs for teens in public.
- Evansville needs to remove all anti-homeless architecture and more safe attractions, such as karaoke, trivia, and music. These activities will promote inclusion
